CANADIAN AND DUTCH COMPANIES INTERESTED IN BULGARIAN POSTS

Canadian and Dutch Posts show interest in the Bulgarian Posts, Transport and Communications Minister Plamen Petrov announced. According to him negotiations are just beginning. It is still not clear whether Bulgarian Posts will be sold or concessions will be granted. The two companies’ offers include modernization of the postal services and further development of the postal network for food sale, pharmaceutical products, insurance, Internet access. About 14,000 are the employees in all 3020 branches of Bulgarian Posts in the country. According to latest estimates a total of BGN 70 – BGN 100 M should be invested in the Bulgarian Posts.
