The United States is positive for Bulgaria’s entry in NATO, it emerged after a meeting between US Ambassador to Bulgaria Miles and Foreign Minister Passy. Miles informed Passy that he participated in a meeting of the US diplomatic missions in the region in Washington. He presented his work in Bulgaria at the meeting and to the American President George Bush. Miles explained that no official statement for US support of Bulgaria’s entry in NATO is to be issued soon. However, he pointed out that Bulgaria’s position during the Kossovo crisis and the anti-terrorist campaign have been highly appreciated by the United States.
