Bulgaria Outstands at Italian Film Fest

Three Bulgarian films have won awards at Italy's 17th Trieste Film Festival, reports revealed Friday.

"Lady Z," "George And The Butterflies" and "Life With Sofia" were the Bulgarian works that won the most recognition.

Andrey Paunov's "George And The Butterflies" was named best documentary by the public, while "Life With Sofia" swept the special jury prize for best short film.

CEI (Central European Initiative) awarded "Lady Z" authors with 2 500 euros for realistic and still poetic description of everyday life in Bulgaria.
