National Movement Simeon II is preparing a bill on the Special Services, the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy, Defense and Security, Stanimir Ilchev said. The bill will be moved to Parliament till March. Inchev did not rule out the President’s right to appoint heads in the Investigating Services to be abolished. The project is being drawn up by MPs of the majority, experts of the Interior and Foreign Ministries. The opinion of President-elect Georgi Parvanov will also be taken into account. The bill is to impact mainly the National Investigating Service and National Service Security. It aims to regulate the services’ structure, the information distribution, priorities, goals as well as the interaction between them. Many issues on the project will be resolved after the Armed Forces Act is moved to Parliament next week.
