CANIDIDATURES FOR SIX VACANT AMBASSADOR POSTS TO BE DISCUSSED

Candidatures for the six vacant ambassador posts and for those, whose mandates are to expire, are going to be discussed at two levels – at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at consultations among Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg, President Petur Stoyanov and President-Elect Georgi Parvanov, Stanimir Iltchev, Chairman of the Parliament foreign policy, defense, and security committee and Elena Poptodorova, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. Most probably new ambassadors will be appointed in Greece and Croatia. It is also possible Nikolay Milkov, ambassador in Romania to be replaced. Ambassador posts in the United States, Finland, Poland, India, Switzerland and Italy are still vacant.
