Bulgarian moviemakers have held the maiden ceremony of giving out annual award for best films.
Georgi Dulgerov's Lady Z, which has already conquered several international contests, received the grand movie award.
Best documentary recognition was assigned to Georgi and The Butterflies (http://www.georgiandthebutterflies.com/ ) produced by Andrey Paunov.
The film Tick-Tack of Boris Despodov won in the category of animated pictures.
A personal award for overall contribution to Bulgarian cinema was handed down to Prof Hristo Hristov by Culture Minister Stefan Danailov.
The ceremony was held in the building of nowadays Army's Theatre, which remembers the historic date 13 January 1915, the day of the premier of first Bulgarian movie "Bulgaran e Galant" by Vassil Gendov.
With a decree of the government adopted last year, January 13 was proclaimed a professional holiday for all workers in the moviemaking industry.
