The revenues from profit taxes amount to BGN 295.3 M for the period January to March 2001, the data from the Finance Ministry shows. The expected revenues in the budget till the end of 2001 are BGN 447.5 M. These numbers confirm the expectations of many economists that by lowering the taxation stake with 5% from the beginning of 2001 will lead to increase in tax revenues. During the first trimester of 2001 the revenues from all the collected taxes amount to BGN 1.142 Bln or 28% of those envisaged for the entire year. There is delays only in collecting taxes from excise duties.
