Bozhidara (Gift from God) is the name of Bulgaria's Baby 2006.
The young lady took her first breath on January 1 in Kyustendil.
A total of 65 calls have been registered within the seventh national campaign "Baby 2006" of the Bulgarian "9 months" magazine.33 girls and 32 boys raced in the campaign, but only two - were born in the very first minute of 2006.
Bozhidara's luck helped in drawing her name from the two competing babies, according to the rules, and she grabbed the title.
The newborn named Baby 2006 will receive benevolence and presents from her "destine-maker" Social Minister Emilia Maslarova, while the last baby born in the past 2005 will be blessed by famous Bulgarian TV anchor Nicki Kanchev on a special holiday on January 21.
The last baby of 2005 is named Ina and she was born in the town Pernik
The nationwide campaign "Baby of the Year" takes place for the 7th time mainly to stimulate reproductive ideals in Bulgaria.
