Bulgaria has chances to complete the negotiations for European Accession in 2003, if th negotiations keep up the present pace, Meglena Kuneva , Chief Negotiator with EU and Deputy Foreign Minister said. “There is no discrimination towards Bulgaria,” Dimitris Kourkoulas, Head of Delegation of the European Commission in Sofia said, commenting on the Laeken EU states Heads decision in the end of last year. The EU leaders drafted a declaration saying all 12 nations currently negotiating to join the bloc meet the criteria for membership, apart from Romania and Bulgaria at the meeting of the EU state and governmental heads in Laeken, Belgium on December 16, 2001. Kourkoulas added that he is optimist for Bulgaria’s accession to the European Union.
