MORE THAN 1,000 BULGARIANS HAVE APPLIED FOR GOVERNMENTAL CREDITS

More than 1,000 Bulgarians have applied for the governmental credits. The application process for the credits was officially launched on January 2, 2001. The applicants have to submit business plans to the employment agencies. United Bulgarian Bank, Eurobank and Post Bank are authorized to allot the micro credits. The micro-crediting scheme of the Cabinet is being implemented in eighteen municipalities. The project envisages micro credits in the range of BGN 5000-15000 for the development of small and medium sized enterprises. About 4000 new jobs are planned to be created during the project’s realization. The first governmental micro credit was granted to Todor Andonov from Shumen for the equipment of a printing house.
