A special donation campaign will enlighten Bulgaria's children through reading.

The campaign named "My Childhood's Books" was launched Wednesday by the Bulgarian Red Cross, Coca-Cola Bulgaria and Bulgaria's Education Ministry and is under the patronage of Bulgaria's first lady Zorka Parvanova.

All Bulgarians are invited to donate children's books from their library until December 9. The donated books will be given to public libraries and schools in the entire country.

Zorka Parvanova read a part of her favourite book "Winnie the Pooh" to children from a Sofia school that attended the launch of the campaign.

Various theater performances will be organized under the motto "Love for books" in many Bulgarian towns. They will all be based on different tales and children's books.

The publishing of a special textbook "My Childhood's Books", which aims to stimulate the children to read more, is also a part of the campaign. The special textbook is already in use at several schools in Sofia and Smolyan.
