Eleven Bulgarian students were awarded scholarships in a competition prizing the young talents in the art field on Monday.

The competition was held for the first time by "Gallery of the Bulgarian Talents" fund, jointly established by Todoroff wine cellar, GloBul and M3 Communications Group Inc.

Ten awards were meant to help talented young artists, but two music students tied and the jury awarded eleven candidates. The founders of the fund awarded each of the winning students with a BGN 2,000 scholarship that is to be paid in equal installments for the course of one year.

"We would like to follow the creative development of our talents," Ivan Todoroff, owner of Todoroff wine cellar said, "and we are willing to help them further if needed."

Forty-eight students from the National Arts Academy and thirty-three of the National Music Academy took part in the competition. The deans of the two cooperated by organizing preliminary auditions.

The winners will show their pieces and demonstrate their vocal abilities at an arts exhibition, accompanied by a concert in November.

"I am very happy with the participants' strong performance which is another shred of evidence for the talent of Bulgaria's youth and a recognition of their potential," Maxim Behar, CEO of PR leader M3 Communications Group Inc. said. "I am sure that other representatives of Bulgaria's business world will join our initiative aiming to preserve and develop Bulgarian culture."

Bulgarian GSM operator GloBul, leading PR company M3 Communications Group, Inc. and the Todoroff Wine Cellar established The Gallery of Bulgarian Talents Fund for supporting fine arts students in July.

The Fund started with a BGN 50,000 (approximately EUR 25,000) capital. Each bottle of Todoroff wine sold brings another Bulgarian lev to it.
