At least 77 people were killed and 115 injured in Lima, Peru after fire engulfed a crowded downtown shopping center loaded with fireworks shops, officials said Sunday. It took nearly five hours for some 440 firefighters to bring the fire under control after it broke out Saturday night. The flames spread quickly through the complex, which officials said was poorly equipped with emergency exits and fire security measures.
