N-POWER PLANT UNIT 4 OPERATES AT 55% CAPACITY

Nuclear Power plant Kozloduy Unit 4 started operating at 55% of its capacity, after it was connected with the energy system of the country. The 440-MgW Unit was closed on August 20 for annual repairs and re-charge with nuclear fuel. On December 21 the Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate issued a permit for the start of Unit 4 operations. It is expected that soon Kozloduy Unit 4 will begin operating at its projected capacity. Unit 4 modernization program was applied while Unit 4 was under repair.
