DAY OF NATIONAL MOURNING DECLARED TODAY

Bulgaria mourns today the seven children that died on December 21 after a tragic event at a Sofia disco club. Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg declared December 23 a day of national mourning in a special address to the nation on December 22. He appealed to all Bulgarians to light a candle on the evening of December 22 in memory of the children killed. The national colours hoisted on all official buildings are lowered half-mast as a sign of mourning.
