All Bulgarian history lovers will be delighted Wednesday at the presentation of the newly found golden treasure at the Sofia's National History Museum.

The treasure, which consists of some 15,000 golden pieces, has been unearthed by the young archaeologist Martin Hristov during excavations at three mounds located near the Dubene village in southern Bulgaria.

The golden pieces were part of different jewellery, which were symbol of the king's power. The golden treasure is dated back to the end of the 2nd century B.C. and archaeologists say that this makes them unique.
