The National Gallery for Foreign Art presented Wednesday part of the donations made by Ivan Drenikov, a prominent Bulgarian researcher living abroad.

Part of the collection includes ceramic vases, some of which dating to 900-400 B.C.

Drenikov, a passionate collector of ancient cultures' art pieces, has made numerous donations to Sofia-located gallery. The most recent one of them are textile art examples from India and Tibet.

Together with his brother Kiril Drenikov, Ivan Drenikov established the Balkan Studies Institute of Brussels in 1978. He is also the founder and director of the institute for ancient and rare books, manuscripts and maps at Venezuela's National Library.
