Nuclear power plant Kozloduy representatives denied the reports of fire at the plant. The rumours turned out to be connected with a blast nearby the plant. Five of the plant's six units are operating with their total capacity of 2,900 MgW as scheduled. The 440-MW Unit Four is expected to resume operation on December 25 after an inspection by the Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy for Peaceful Purposes. An emergency drill was organized for the plant staff on December 19, in case of fire in the radioactive waste storage facility.
