US Ambassador James Pardew and his wife will complete their term as honorary patrons of National Ballet's Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 seasons by participating in the creation of "The Ballet Association of Bulgaria".

The non-profit association is to be registered in Bulgaria in Summer 2005, US Embassy's press office announced on Wednesday.

The goals of the new non-governmental establishment will be to further the development and promotion of the ballet art in Bulgaria. It will seek to reaffirm the place of the National Ballet of Sofia among the cultural institutions in the country.

The association will also support and assist the National Ballet of Sofia, the embassy's office said and added that membership in the association is open to the public for those willing to work and contribute to the goals of the organization.

US Ambassador James Pardew will soon leave his Bulgarian diplomatic post to replace it with a new office in Brussels.
