Vlado Gradev who has been till very recently Associate Professor in the Sofia University “ St. Kliment Ohridski, ” lecturing on culture an religion of the post-modern world, will be Bulgaria’s new ambassador to Vatican, starting from December 15. He confesses that it will be a bit difficult for him to enter just like that the diplomatic life. In five days, he will meet the Pope to give to him his accreditation letters. It is not surprising that Gradev was appointed to the position. His qualifications match the necessary skills for organizing next year’s Pope John Paul II visit Bulgaria. Gradev speaks fluently four languages: French, Italian, English and Russian. Another thing that should be pointed out is that Gradev is Catholic.
