"If the European Union holds one more session before the end of this year, Bulgaria is ready to close two more negotiating chapters," Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy told reporters upon his return Brussels during the 5th Session of the Conference on Bulgaria's Accession to the EU at the minister level. "If Bulgaria does not make wrong moves, it will be able to count on an invitation to join NATO at the Alliance's Prague summit next year," Passy said. In his opinion, by that time Bulgaria should destroy its SS-23 missiles, as decided by the Council of Ministers. "I am convinced that we are on the right track," Passy commented on the progress of the negotiations. Bulgaria should be grateful to France for the proposal that all 12 candidates be admitted simultaneously, the Foreign Minister added.
