Hundreds of Bulgarians went to pay their last respect to the prominent writer Ivailo Petrov in Sofia, who passed away on Thursday, April 14, at the age of 82.

Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov also came to bid farewell to the legendary novelist.

Petrov is the author of renowned novels "Wolf Battue", "Gypsy Rhapsody", "Baronovi" and others. Most of his books have been published abroad and have proved to be a succes.

The novelist is also a laureate of the "Hr.G.Danov" award as well as of the Golden Century prize for his contribution to the Bulgarian literature. Ivailo Petrov has also received many other awards for his talent.
