IMF: STATE RAILWAYS COMPANY SHOULD WORK ON MARKET PRINCIPLE

The Bulgarian State Railways Company to start working on market principle, Jerald Schiff, head of the International Monetary Fund(IMF)mission to Bulgaria demanded from Plamen Petrov, Minister of Transport and Communications. The two officials discussed at a meeting the long-term restructuring program of the State Railways Company. Schiff also had a meeting with the management of the State Energy and Energy Resources Agency. The state energy strategy was discussed. According to Schiff, the tax policies of the Government is adequate, the structural reforms continue and the conducted policy will lead to further growth. Schiff said that he is positive about new IMF agreement with the Bulgarian Government.
