Imports of soyoil from Argentina and rapeseed oil from Germany are to substitute the expensive Bulgarian sunoil on the domestic market and cover the shortage caused by the poor sunseed crop, Reuters reported, citing Bulgarian analysts. Bulgaria already imports soyoil, while the German imports are to start soon. A total of 40,000 tons of unrefined sunoil are to be imported from Ukraine and Argentina in 2002, when no duties will be imposed on it. Total soyoil and rapeoil imports in 2001/2002 (Sept-Aug)are expected to reach some 10,000 – 15,000 tons.
