TURKISH SPIRITUAL LEADER CONDEMNED THE ACTIVITIES OF FUNDAMENTALISTS

Mehmet Nuri Yilmaz, Chief of the Religious Affairs Directorate and spiritual leader of the Muslims in Turkey had a meeting with Patriarch Maksim of Bulgaria at the Holy Synod on December 3. Asked to comment the information that Bulgarian schools are controlled by fundamentalist organizations, Yilmaz said that he does not have such information but being a representative of the Turkish religious community he condemned such organizations. “In light of the establishment of global peace, this meeting between representatives of the different religious communities is extremely important,” Yilmaz pointed out.
