MOBIKOM CELL PHONE OPERATOR CUTS RATES BY 5%

Mobikom’s rates will be cut by 5%, down to 75% as of this week, representatives of the company, Bulgaria’s analogue cell phone operator, announced on December 2. One-minute call to another Mobikom subscriber will be charged BGN 0,05, which is less that the fixed-line network call price charged by the national telecom monopolist Bulgarian Telecommunication Company. A total of 178,000 out of Bulgaria’s eight-million population are Mobikom subscribers. The British company Cable& Wireless holds a 49% in the cell phone operator.
