Two Bulgarian climbers, who were part of the Antarctic mission, dubbed Tangra 2004, conquered the highest summit in South America and outside Asia.
Lyubomir Ivanov and Doychin Vassilev topped Aconcagua (6962m/22835ft), which lies on the border between Argentina and Chile, the press office of the expedition announced.
Earlier this year the alpinists topped the 1111m Zograph Peak on the Antarctic island of Livingston, the 604m Mizia peak in the northern part of the Livingston Island, that has not been conquered by a man so far.
The expedition also studied the routes to Lyaskovets Peak and Falsa Aguja Peak.
Its goal was to improve the mapping of the mountain massif of Tangra, situated on Livingston Island in the South Shetlands archipelago.
