One hundred Bulgarian companies owe the National Security Institute a total of BGN 217 M, Nikolay Vassilev, Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister, announced on November 30 at the parliamentary control session. Bulgarian metallurgical plant Kremikovtzi and Varna Shipyard top the list of NSI debtors. He said that the Cabinet is considering reduction in the liquidation and bankruptcy procedures. Reduction of some social securities as of 2002 is also being discussed.
