PM HOPES BULGARIA WILL ENTER EU BY 2003

Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg said in Parliament that the Cabinet relies on the efforts of all political parties in achieving Bulgaria?s top priorities ? EU and NATO-entry and fiscal stability in the country. Saxe-Coburg confirmed the Cabinet?s plan to finish EU membership negotiations in 2003. According to him Bulgaria will sign a stand-by agreement with the International Monetary Fund in one or two years. Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg said that most probably his meeting with President-elect Parvanov will take place next week. Asked whether he has chosen a candidate for national security chief, Saxe-Coburg answered ?Not really.?
