Bulgaria to hold negotiations with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for a EUR 41,1 M loan for the energy sector, the Cabinet proposed to Parliament. The funds will be used for the project “Rehabilitation and modernization of electricity transmission system Energy 2.” The entire project costs EUR 153 M and the funding is to be used for the restructuring of the energy sector. Finance Minister Velchev and Milko Kovachev, Chairman of the State Energy and Energy Resources Agency will negotiate on the terms of the agreement with EBRD.
