The Bulgarian author Yordan Radichkov will be nominated for Nobel Prize in literature, Boyan Biolchev, rector of the Sofia University “St, Kliment Ohridski” announced. Biolchev received an invitation by the Nobel Committee to send a nomination for Bulgarian author. The nomination is to be sent on December 3d. The Nobel Prize is the first international award given yearly since 1901 for achievements in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and peace. The prize consists of a medal, a personal diploma, and a prize amount. On November 29, Radichkov was awarded the Big Prize for Literature of the Sofia University. “I am very happy about the award and the nomination, “ Radichkov told the Bulgarian Press Agency. After Biolchev gave him the honorary sign of the university and an icon of St Klimen Ohridski, Radichkov thanked for the honor . “ Unfortunately I did not have the chance to become a university graduate, I had very hard childhood, “ Radichkov said.
