JUSTICE MINISTER: KOSTOV’S MP IMMUNITY TO BE LIFTED WAS NOT DEMANDED

Justice Minister Anton Stankov told journalists that he doesn’t have information that the Higher Prosecutor’s Office has demanded former Prime Minister Ivan Kostov MP immunity to be lifted. He added that Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg was not informed about such requests either. The spokesman of the Higher Prosecutor’s Office Nikolay Markov did not deny that the MP immunity of Ivan Kostov may be lifted information when asked by journalists on Novemebr 22. “There might be such a thing, “ Markov said for the Bulgarian National Radio. Ivan Kostov is being investigated by the Higher Prosecutor’s Office, 168 Hours Weekly wrote. According to the weekly, there were data that Kostov received commissions for the privatisations of the national carrier Balkan, Bulbank and for the privatisation preparation of the Bulgarian Tecommunication Company.
