Concert for the Official Closing of "Bulgarian Seasons in New York", the second annual festival of Bulgarian art and culture will take place Friday evening in the at Carnegie Hall.
The aim of the festival is to present Bulgarian art in New York. The festival is held under the patronage of Prof. Ognyan Gerdzhikov, Bulgaria's Parliament Spokesman and with the support of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York and Bulgarian Embassy in Washington.
Young Soloists Chamber Orchestra aims to bring Bulgarian music to New York through the finest young instrumentalists who are based in the New York City area, rather than bring performers directly from Bulgaria. This international group of musicians brings its experience of studies throughout the world's and America's finest music schools, and its members are award winners in the world's most prestigious competitions.
The orchestra's founders, conductors Kiril Tarpov and Stefan Linev together with violinists Simeon Simeonov and Emanouil Manolov, have selected a diverse program for its premiere concert in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
The Bulgarian Virtuosi (BV) was founded in 1995 as a New York - based music society formed by prominent Bulgarian cellist, Kalin Ivanov. An exciting group of performers, the B.V. provides opportunities for some of the finest Bulgarian musicians to perform on concert stages all over the U.S. and in Europe.
