Legendary Bulgaria-born singer Sylvie Vartan took part in a Sofia show organized for disadvantaged children.

The event is part of a special Christmas campaign, initiated by Vartan to bring the holiday mood to parentless children.

The French pop diva was born in Bulgaria in 1944, and fled the country at the age of ten. She married French rocker Johnny Halliday in 1965, to become France's "gold couple" of their generation. The two divorced in 1980. Their son David Halliday is also a singer.
