A collection of canvass and sculpture by Bulgarian artists have opened for the art lovers in Brussels with the special inauguration of the country's first diplomat Solomon Passy.

The art pieces exhibited in the gallery of Flemish businessman and arts patron Hugo Wootten represent the up-to-date trends in Bulgarian fine arts, being also the largest collection of Bulgarian-made pieces exhibited outside the country.

The exhibition is organised by Bulgarian Embassy to Brussels to mark the 125-th anniversary of bilateral relations. The inauguration was attended Wednesday night by the chairman of Belgium's French Community Parliament Jean-Francois Istas, Bulgarian academician and renowned artist Svetlin Russev, many politicians, diplomats, artists, local business and social elite, as well as journalists.

Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov is also scheduled to pay a social call to see the exhibition during his visit to Brussels on December 17.
