President Georgi Parvanov enjoyed the opportunity to remember his studentship days, as he was invited by the Union of Students to join their disco party on the Students' Day, December 8.

Georgi Parvanov expressed his belief in the usefulness of the freshly elaborated bill for student crediting and declared his support for the development of an overall state strategy towards young people of Bulgaria.

Researches have shown that Bulgarian youth feels satisfied with the level of high and higher education they receive but find it unmatchable with the needs and requirements of contemporary employers.

All 101 universities across Bulgaria have organized special events for their students.

The Students' Day was first marked in 1903 in the Sofia University and has been celebrated ever since both by current and former students.
