“FREE MOVEMENT OF GOODS” CHAPTER NEGOTIATIONS TO START BEFORE 2002

Bulgaria is to start negotiations with the European Union on the chapter “Free Movement of goods” till the end of 2001, Silvana Lyubenova, Director of the European Integration Directorate with the Economy Ministry, announced on November 26. She pointed out that in this respect Bulgaria has great precedence before other applicant states. The envisaged changes have to do with unification of the standards of different goods. They are to be implemented gradually before the accession date.
