For a second successive year Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov launched the charity project "Bulgarian Christmas" aimed to raise funds for diseased children.
In cooperation with Bulgarian National Television (BNT) and the private NOVA TV (NTV), the organizers will collect charity funds via SMS, telephone calls and bank accounts. The funds will be used to buy specialized medical equipment for child hospitals and to finance treatment of gravely ill children.
The pinnacle will come up on Christmas Day, December 25, when a sumptuous concert is planned to stage in Sofia's National Theatre.
Last year's campaign raised more than BGN 1.3 M.
