Businessmen and restaurant owners of Bulgaria has established a Slow Food Club in the old, historic neighbourhood of Plovdiv, south Bulgaria.
The new gourmet society is part of the global chain Slow Food, which preaches the philosophy of blending lunch and dinner.
After its establishment in 1986 in Italy, the Slow Food has grown into an international movement whose aim is "to protect the pleasures of the table from the homogenization of modern fast food and life".
It promotes gastronomic culture, develops taste education, conserves agricultural biodiversity and protects traditional foods at risk of extinction, something that the more than 80,000 members of the club globally are quite proud of.
