Nikolay Paslar qualified for the 69 kg final at the 35th World Freestyle Wrestling Championship for men in Sofia. Thus the Bessarabian Bulgarian provided himself the silver medal at least. So far Paslar had won 2 bronze medals for Bulgaria at European Championships, and brought the third distinction for our team at the World Championship. At the quarterfinal Paslar overcame the European Champion from Budapest'2000 - Emzar Bedinashvili (Georgia), with 3-2 pts., while at the semi-final he crushed with a technical touchdown Lazlo Sabolcz (Romania) by 12-0 pts. for 1:59 min. only. The Bulgarian team was provided with a third medal by Paslar and thus registered it's best participation at the World Championships ever since 11 years.
