GREY WOLVES EXTREMIST ARRESTED IN SOFIA

A member of the Turkish right-wing extremist organization Grey Wolves was arrested in Sofia on November 22, representatives of the Interior Ministry announced on November 23. The special operation was conducted by the Anti-Terror Department with the National Service for Combating Organized Crime (NSCOC). The 45-year-old Turkish citizen, Celal C, had been suspect in international drug smuggling for four years. He has crossed the Bulgarian border with fake identity documents and stayed in the country illegally for several months. During his stay in the country he was involved in smuggling excisable goods from Macedonia and Kosovo, via Bulgaria to Turkey. An investigation into the case has started.
