BULGARIA TO RECEIVE USD 20 M FROM OIL TRANSIT

Bulgaria will receive a total of USD 20 M from oil transit after completing the construction of the pipeline Burgas-Alexandrupolis, representatives of Bulgaria, Russia and Greece decided on November 23 at a working meeting. Bulgaria and Greece will receive equal parts of the transit fees. Bulgaria will insist that at least 60% of the fee go into the Bulgarian State Treasury. The pipeline capacity is 35 M tons annually. An agreement is to be signed between the governments of Bulgaria and Greece. Hassan Hassan, Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, represented Bulgaria at the meeting. It was decided that Kazakhstan will also take part in the construction of the pipeline.
