Politics | November 23, 2001, Friday // 00:00

The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB) is to present a protest note to Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg, President Stoyanov and Parliament Speaker Gerdzhikov. The dialogue with the syndicates is formal, social dialogue does not exist, the note reads. The relations among the syndicates, Government and employers within the framework of the Trilateral Cooperation Council are assessed in the document. “ The Government does not listen to the proposals of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria,” Plamen Dimitrov, Chairman of the confederation said. He pointed out that the confederation does not urge people to protest but tries to stop discontent.
