PARLIAMENT VOTED ITS QUOTA IN MEDIA COUNCIL

Parliament voted Lilia Raicheva, Raicho Raikov, Vesselin Stoikov, Maria Stefanova and Margarita Pesheva to be members of the Council on Electronic Media from the Parliament’s quota. The opposition parties ‘Coalition for Bulgaria” and the United Democratic Forces claimed that the choice of the Parliament members in the council was predetermined. There were no nominations from these parties. The members from the President’s quota in the Council on Electronic Media are to be announced on November 26. So far, only the nominations of the Media Coalition are known. Two of the current members - Georgi Lozanov and Svetlana Bozhilova, two new as well - Vessela Tabakova and Bissera Zankova are the nominations of the Bulgarian Media Coalition for the new Council for Electronic Media. Council will run the state owned media.
