The initial licensing fees paid annually by GSM operators in Bulgaria will be reduced, the Cabinet decided on November 22. According to the changes to the tariffs of the State Telecommunications Commission the initial licensing fees go down from BGN 9 per hertz to BGN 7,3 per hertz. Experts in the telecommunication market claim that the move will attract more potential buyers for the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company in case the company applies for the license and get it. The Ministry. According to the current tariff the third GSM operator had to pay about BGN 280 M in order to get the license. The Commission insisted on changing the tariffs after "Mobiltel" claim for removing the tariffs as unconstutional. The claim was filed in the Supreme Administrative Court.
