Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg met on November 22 his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi in the framework of the annual regular meeting of the Central European Initiative in Triest. Saxe-Coburg was the first Head of State to meet the Italian Prime Minister. The two officials discussed in Italian the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Italy. Saxe-Coburg and Berlusconi talked about the possibilities for bigger cooperation especially in the economic spheres and the increase of Italian investments in Bulgaria. Berlusconi expressed Italy’s support for Bulgaria’s EU and NATO accession.
