USD 851 M INVESTMENTS ENVISAGED IN BUDGET BILL

'Budget '2002 may be called "the beginning of poverty overcoming," Finance Minister Milen Velchev said when presenting budget bill 2002 to Parliament, to be voted on first reading. The actual growth of the municipal subsidy will equal 32.5 % and thus the municipalities will get BGN 432.6 M in total. The direct foreign investments in 2002 will exceed USD 851 M, while the revenues from privatization will be BGN 618.5 M.
