“Hungary supports the idea that a group of ten countries joins the European Union, but it doesn’t want to be obstructed by the less prepared candidates,” Viktor Orban, Hungarian Prime Minister said for the Hungarian National Radio. “ There is one thing that we cannot accept – Hungary to be forced to wait for membership because of somebody else.” Orban said, without citing names of particular countries. Orban’s statement was prompted by the implication made by the French Foreign Minister Vedrine that in case that Bulgaria and Romania does not join the EU together with the other candidates, the two countries will be destabilized.
