Bulgaria must adopt 85,000 more standards in order to comply with the European criteria on standardization and metrology, Ivelyn Burov, executive director of the State Agency for Standardization and Metrology announced at a press conference after the Cabinet approved the amendments to the National Standardization Act. So far Bulgaria has adopted 3,500 of all 12,000 European standards.
