Promises of Stellar Movie Festival in Plovdiv

Foreign movie stars are visiting Bulgaria for the 29th Golden Chest International Film Festival, which opened October 3 in the town of Plovdiv.

World renowned Polish cinema director Krzysztof Zanussi welcomed the participants

Zanussi, who is a guest to the festival, is in Bulgaria for the press launch of his biographical book "Time to Die" and a staging of his play "The Inaccessible" at Sofia's Ivan Vazov National Theatre.

Bulgarian National Television invited Daniel McVicar (Clarke) and Kimberlin Brown (Sheila) from the world famous "The Bold and The Beautiful" series to be guests to the Festival.

Daniel Olbrychski, the favourite actor of Polish director Andrzej Vajda, will also put in an appearance. The Hungarian films of Giocco Rosic will also be shown during the festival.

The second biggest Bulgarian town of Plovdiv hosts participants from 33 countries from October 3-10.

Bulgarian moviemakers will participate with 29 of a total of 129 works.

The productions will be presented in four categories - adult series, children series, documentaries, student documentaries and full-length films.
